Terms and Conditions outline the rules for using our property and facilities
By making a booking, entering our property, or using our services, you agree to the conditions below.
Booking Terms
- The person making the booking accepts responsibility for ensuring all members of their group comply with these terms.
- Minimum Stay Requirements: 2 nights minimum and 3 days nights minimum if a public holiday falls on Friday or Monday.
- Rates subject to change.
- Book game drive in advance (Prior to arrival). Game drives are weather permitting
Game drives are excluded from the accommodation rate.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-In
- Self-Catering Units and Luxury Tents: 14H00-19H00.
- Camping: 12H00-19H00.
- Late arrivals must be arranged in advance.
Check-Out
- Self-Catering Units and Luxury Tents: 10H00.
- Camping: 14H00.
- Deposits
- A 50% deposit of the total of the booking (first pay, first serve).
- Balance is due 7 days prior to arrival.
- Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans may change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 14 days or more before arrival: No cancellation fee will be charged. Guests will receive a 100% refund of the total booking amount paid.
- 7 to 13 days before arrival: A cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total booking amount will be charged. The remaining 50% will be refunded.
- 5 days or less before arrival: A cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total booking amount will be charged. No refund will be issued.
- No-Show Policy
Guests who do not arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior notice will be considered a no-show and will forfeit 100% of the booking amount.
- Early Departure
Guests who depart earlier than the scheduled check-out date will not be entitled to a refund for unused nights.
- Force Majeure
In cases of natural disasters, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events beyond the guest’s or property’s control, management reserves the right to review each case individually and apply a fair resolution.
- Amendments to Bookings
Amendments (such as date changes) are subject to availability and may be treated as a cancellation followed by a new booking, depending on notice given.
- Rules of Conduct
- No parties and loud music allowed.
- We reserve the right to determine noise levels of guests, particularly between 22h00-08h00. Be considerate to other guests. If any person misbehaves, you will be asked to vacate the premises immediately and no refund will be given.
- Free Wi-Fi is not uncapped:
The use of Wi-Fi service is restricted to e-mails, browsing the internet and social media only, NO streaming, updating applications, movie downloads and YouTube.
Once the data allocation for the duration of your stay is used, it will not be replenished
- Glass items are not allowed in pool/dam areas.
- No smoking in the units. Smoking only permitted outdoors.
- No fireworks allowed.
- Fires only in designated braai areas.
- Maximum speed limit is 20 km/h.
- No littering. Use bins provided.
- Do not damage or remove plants and trees.
- Respect wildlife and other guests. No shouting, screaming, or disruptive behaviour.
Shamba Yetu wish to maintain a peaceful and tranquil natural environment for all guests to enjoy.
- No swimming after 20H00.
- Gates always need to be closed.
- Guests are prohibited from self-drive game viewing excursions.
- Discrimination, abuse, or rude behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Children must always be under adult supervision.
- Liability, Disclaimer and Indemnity
- All facilities are used at own risk. Shamba Yetu Mountain Lodge is not liable for injury, loss, theft, or damage to persons, vehicles, or belongings.
- Shamba Yetu Mountain Lodge cannot be held responsible for”
- Loadshedding/power failures
- Poor Cell Phone/Wi-Fi signal
- Insects, mosquitos, or nature and farm conditions.
INDEMNITY
All persons (including minors) entering these premises, do so entirely at their own risks and minors must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
Neither the owner, manager and/or operator of these premises, amenities and facilities, and/or its directors, officers, employees, agents, operators, contractors and representatives, or persons for which it may be vicariously responsible in law, shall be responsible or liable for any injuries to, or for the death of, or harm caused to, any person (including minors) nor for the loss or destruction of, or damage to, any property nor for any damages of any other kind of whatsoever nature and by whosoever caused and howsoever arising, whether arising out of negligence (gross or otherwise) of any wrongful act.
